It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Jean Wright, “Sue”, on the evening of April 1, 2026. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Our Mom, Sue, was born on November 1, 1949, in Baltimore Maryland, to the late Dolores and David W. Lloyd II. She was also preceded in death by her dear brother, David W. Lloyd III and his late wife Elaine. She was a loving Mom to Angel Sullivan and her husband, Jamie, & Melanie Blake and her husband, Chad. She was the BEST Grandma to JayJay, Jake, CJ and her Great Grandbaby, Deklan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends, who all loved her dearly.
If you knew our Mom well (and most people who met her did because she shared her life story with anyone who’d listen, LOL), you know that her family was her world (especially her Grandkids and Great Grandbaby) and she loved us with her whole heart!!!! She always made it a point to say "I love you more" before we left or got off the phone. She had a heart of gold and was known by many of her work friends as “Susie Good Heart”, but don’t let that name fool you, she was quite the spitfire!!!
Before Parkinson’s Disease took over her “physical” body, she was a strong, independent, hardworking single Mom with a lengthy career (at NSA where she retired after 25+ yrs, the State Dpt., and Montgomery Wards). She loved going to church, the gym, loved music and dancing, riding her bike, arts & crafts (specifically painting), spending time with family and friends, and hanging out at the beach. She was a huge Raven’s fan, loved Star Trek (YES – she was a die-hard Trekkie), and she also geeked out over every Star Wars movie. Although the disease crippled her body, she never lost her faith in God or her incredibly strong will to live. She fought he little heart out until the very end!!!
Our sweet Momma will be forever missed, but her story will continue in the memories, love and legacy she leaves behind.
