Thomas M Floody

Thomas Matthew Floody, age 90, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Pasadena, Maryland. Born on November 9, 1933, Thomas was a dedicated family man, known for his hard-working nature and commitment to providing for his loved ones.

Thomas proudly served in the Navy during the Korean War, reflecting his deep sense of duty and patriotism. His career post-military service was marked by significant roles as a Manager, Consultant, and Troubleshooter for various Heating and Air Conditioning companies, where he utilized his expertise to solve complex problems and improve operations.

An avid golfer, Thomas often expressed that “any day spent playing golf” was a good day. This hobby provided him not only with relaxation but also an opportunity to connect with friends and nature.

Thomas is survived by a loving family, including his daughters, Pamala Murphy (Douglas), Dawn Cannaday (Harley), Thomas (T.J.) Floody (Donna)-son and Heather Floody (Guy) daughter; his grandchildren, Meghan, Ashley, Jacob (Sarah), Thomas (Leigh), Justin (Stephanie), and seven great-grandchildren Cecilia (FL), Lilly (FL), Sophia (FL), Bella (FL), Keira (CT), Kinsley (CT), and Brielle (CT). He also leaves behind his brother, Richard Floody. Thomas was preceded in death by his spouse, Lillian Floody; his brother, William; and his sister, Joan Low.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Monday, October 14, 2024. Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Veteran Help Organizations in honor of Thomas's service and dedication to his fellow veterans. His commitment to his family, career, and country will be remembered by all who knew him.
