Walter Gerard Lucke, 78, of Pasadena, Maryland passed away on March 3, 2020.
He was born on September 12, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to Walter and Ruth Lucke, 2 German immigrants.
Walt graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1959.
After graduation, he began working for NSA as a Machinist where he retired. He continued to work after retirement at JB Machine. His family will fondly remember him for being such a hard worker.
During his free time, Walt loved to spend time at his home on the water. He loved to fish and go out on his sailboat. He is predeceased by his parents, his Aunt Mary, and cousin Olivia Reinecke. He is survived by his children Walter Lucke and Rena (Sam) Holloway, grandchildren Megan, Jalen, Emilee and Teryn Holloway, Hayden and Holly Lucke, Seth Hancock, and sisters Eva and Anna.
Walt Lucke’s family will receive friends on Friday March 6, 2020 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Rd Pasadena, MD 21122. His Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 7, 2020 at 12:30pm with cremation services to follow.
The Lucke and Holloway family would like to formally thank the staff at John Hopkin’s and Gilchrist Hospice Center for the kindness and support received when caring for Walt Lucke. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Gilchrist Center in Howard County in his honor.
