William Thomas McCauley Sr., 77, of Maryland, on June 20, 2026, He was called away to be returned with his loving wife and his daughter on his 77th birthday. He was born on June 20, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, and was one of nine siblings.
At a young age, William met the love of his life, Carol Elkins. The two were married after William was drafted into military service, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and unwavering commitment to family. Together they raised two children, William Thomas McCauley Jr and Tina Ann McCarty-Blakely
William was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted more than 30 years of service to the United States Postal Service. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and sense of responsibility.
Above all else, William was a selfless man who loved his family unconditionally. He consistently put the needs of others before his own, working tirelessly to ensure that those he loved were cared for and provided for. As a husband, father, grandfather uncle and brother, he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders so that others would not have to. His strength, kindness, and quiet sacrifices touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
William is survived by his son, William Thomas McCauley Jr.; Christopher McCauley, Brianna McCauley, Bradley McCauley. Adam McCauley, Connor McCauley, Emily McCauley, Sophia McCauley, as well as his great-grandkids. The children of his daughter Tina Ann McCarty-Blakey; William McCarty and Ashlyn Blakely, His sisters Joann Cundiff, Sharon Costello and Patricia Niec. His brothers Joe McCauley Sr, Mike McCauley and George McCauley and many extended family members and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Ann McCauley, and his daughter, Tina Ann McCarty-Blakely.
William's legacy of love, dedication, and selflessness will live on in the family he cherished. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and lovingly carried in the hearts of those who knew him.
