William R. Parfitt

William Ralph Parfitt Sr., (Bill), 95, of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away at the AccentCare Hospice, Baltimore, MD, on January 22, 2024. Bill was born August 17, 1928, in Alpena, Michigan to parents William and Evelyn Parfitt, (Boboltz) of Alpena, Michigan.  On December 17, 1957, Bill married the love of his life, Rosalie Breighner.

Bill served in the United States Army during World War II and when his tour of duty ended, he began his civilian service at Fort George Meade, MD until his retirement.

The consummate entertainer, he loved having visitors, reaching out to each guest and making them feel welcomed and special. He was a great cook, (especially his famous roast beef on the rotisserie out back), enjoyed scouting the flea market with family, collecting miniature gas lanterns, test-driving everyone’s new car, his dog Wiley, and all babies. He was dearly loved and admired by all who knew him.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Rosalie and siblings Leo, Marlys, Jean and Robert.  He is survived by his Alpena, Michigan family his beloved brother Richard, (wife Barbara) and sister Delores, his, children Iris, (Charles) of Hanover, MD, Lynn, of Canyon, TX, Larry, (Tina) of Brooklyn, MD, Billy and Tommy, (Marsha) of and Pasadena, MD  nieces and nephews Richard Jr, Jodi, Lisa, Michael, April, Ned, David, Patricia, Susan, Mark, and Warren Jr. of Alpena Michigan; grandchildren Billy, Lisa, April (Ward), Larry Jr., Eric, Amy (Jimmy) and Carson (Parfitt), Tommy Jr., Jacob, and Tamarrah (Parfitt). Survived by great-grandchildren, Dominic, Sophia, Samantha, Gabriella, and Bailey, (Ward) of Kyle, TX; Logan, Kolby, and Alexander of Baltimore, MD and great-great granddaughter Shiloh Rae.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road PASADENA on Monday, January 29, 2024, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 10 am. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery
