William J Riedel

William "Bill" Riedel of Glen Burnie, MD passed away at Autumn Lake long-term care facility on March 10th, 2026, after his 18-month-long fight with cancer.

Bill was born to Walter "Skeets" Riedel and Pauline Riedel on November 30th, 1945, in his grandmother's home in Baltimore, MD.

Bill was a loving, caring, and devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather to many.

He is survived by his sister P. Damian Schwartz and her husband Robert, brother James Riedel, son Mike Riedel and girlfriend Patti Jacobs, daughter Jeanine Matteo and her husband, Jim, granddaughter Amy Tolson and her husband, Jamey, grandson David Gordon, grandson Nick Matteo and his wife, Julene, granddaughter Candice Gilbreath, grandson Chad Cook and his girlfriend Sammy Varga, great grandson Anthony Fletcher, great granddaughter Jazmyne Jenkins, great grandson Noah Matteo, great grandson Dylan Matteo, and great grandson Cameron Varga.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Pauline Riedel, brother Timmy Riedel, daughter Amy Riedel, and life-long companion, Carol Barnett.

All are welcome to visit and pay their respects on Sunday, March 15th, 2026, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the family-owned and operated McCully-Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. His funeral will also be held at McCully-Polyniak & Collins Funeral Home, P.A. on Monday, March 16th, 2026. Service will begin at 11am and will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery at 12pm.
