Woodrow Wilson Furlough, Jr.

July 3, 1941 — September 10, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Woodrow Wilson Furlough Jr., lovingly known as Woody, at Autumn Lake Healthcare on September 10, 2024. Born on July 3, 1941, in Tyrell, North Carolina, Woody lived a life of extraordinary adventures and stories. Known amongst many in the Capitol Raceway circuit, Woody spent many summers at the track making t-shirts and hats at Woodie’s Goodies. He was a skilled meatcutter and member of the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union – Local 27. Woody was a member of the Valley of Baltimore Lodge. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Woodrow Furlough Sr. and Frances Craddock; beloved wife Linda Furlough; brother, Tom Furlough and sister, Janice Swingle. Woody is survived by his daughter, Tammy Furlough and son, Jeffrey Furlough and his wife Barbara; his grandchildren Katelynn, Justin (& wife Kaitlyn), Brittany, Brandon (& wife Sierra), Shelby, Jayden and Katie Furlough; his great grandchildren, Kensley, Cooper, Garrett and Carson; his siblings, Richard Furlough and Mike Furlough; many nieces and nephews. 

The family will not be holding a service.

This organization was near and dear to his heart and played an important role later in life. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have shown their love, support, and condolences during this time of bereavement.
