Craig Alan Mech, Sr. passed away on October 6, 2021. Devoted father of Craig, Jr. (Kerrie) and Jack Mech (Sarah); beloved grandfather of Austin, Ashley, Tylor and Chase; loving brother of John Mech, Sr. and his wife Kellie and Susan Mech-Suter; dear great-grandfather of Carter who will be born in the next few weeks. Craig was preceded in death by his parents Everett Mech, Sr. and Alice Mech (nee Kacpura), sister Sandra Mech-Klein and brothers Everett Mech, Jr., Richard Mech, Sr. and Howard Mech. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.
Craig is also survived by a large extended family, Barbara Jansen, his loving partner of 22 years as well as, Lisa (Roddy), Ronny (Angel), Gina (Brian), Magen (Donnie), as well as grandchildren, Gretchyn (Mike), Conrad, Alex, Eben, Brea, Tristan, Micah, Kinsley, and beloved great granddaughter Aurora.
Craig was a longtime resident of South Baltimore and most recent living in Pasadena. He worked as a High Voltage Switch Gear Mechanic for General Electric for 34 years before retiring. For the past 20 years he was the owner of Schaefers Bar & Grill in South Baltimore. In his free time he enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and fishing.
Family and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated McCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Saturday October 9, 2021 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.
