Hazel Adele Samuel, 91 passed away on January 7, 2023, at Kind Hearts Assisted Living in Glen Burnie, Maryland
Known as Adele, she was born on May 8, 1931, in South Baltimore and lived her entire life there and in Brooklyn Park. She married George Samuel, Sr. July 23, 1955, and spent her years as a homemaker, raising 2 children, Kathy Fechko (Paul) and George, Jr. (Barbara). Adele loved family gatherings, especially with music and dancing. She always could be counted on for a large dish of macaroni salad and one of her signature walnut or hot milk chocolate cakes. Adele loved sports and was truly a super fan of the Baltimore Colts, and later the Ravens, as well as the Baltimore Orioles.
Adele is survived by her daughter Kathy) Paul_ daughter-in-law Barbara Samuel, 4 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. In particular, nieces Barbara Bradburn, Elizabeth Sullivan as well as grand-daughter Ki Banks, were instrumental in maintaining Independance until transiting to assisted living. The family is grateful Figuera, owner of Kind Hearts, and our dear ladies Laura, Mavis and Grace, who cared for Mom during her time in assisted living.
Adele was predeceased by her husband George, Sr, and more recently by her beloved son George Jr. in September 2022.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the family owned and operated MCCULLY POLYNIAK & COLLINS FUNERAL HOME 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. Were funeral services will be held don Monday, January 30, 2023, at 11 am. Followed by interment at Cedar hill Cemetery located at 5829 Ritchie Highway Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225
