Janet Wise

On November 8, 2021, Janet Evans Wise, age 79 of Enola, PA died as a result of lung cancer. She worked for the Federal Government for 31 years. She did her undergraduate and graduate studies at the The Johns Hopkins University. She was a former Secretary of the History Teachers Association of Maryland and former member of the Chesapeake Mariners Association. She was also a former Secretary of the Stoney Creek Seniors, and a former member of the Popular Ridge Seniors. Most important to her was her membership in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Evans, her brother and only sibling, Rodney G. Evans, her beloved husband Norman J. Wise, granddaughter Shellie M. Benge, grandson Timothy J. Wise and brother-in-law Howard J. Wise. She is survived by her daughter Robin C. Hudson; her sons Dr. Gregory R. Wise (Elizabeth) and Douglas B. Wise; and her sister-in-law Kathryn V. Wise. She was the loving grandmother of Roger Wise (Shyla); Patria Wise-Bryant (Sam); Melanie Hawk (David); Erica Hippler (Jason); Bradley Wise (Traci); Brandon Hudson and Caleb Hudson. She was the Aunt of Angela Kochuba (Joe); Jeffrey Wise (Jenny); Kent Wise (Kevin); Todd Wise (Pam). She as also blessed with 2 great nephews Joseph Kochuba and Andrew Kochuba and 3 great nieces Chloe Kochuba, Andrea Wise and Jessica Chaney (Dwayne). She was further blessed with 19 great grandchildren and she lived to see the beginning of a fifth generation with the birth of 7 great-great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the family owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. in Pasadena, MD on Tuesday, November 16th from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 17th at 10:00 am. Pastor Kleyton Feitosa will officiate. Following the service, Interment will be at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville, MD at 11:30 am.
