Rafael Paviera
August 10, 1951 — October 21, 2017
Rafael (Paeng) Mondejar Paviera passed away at the age of 66 after courageously fighting the effects of a stroke for four months. He was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the U.S. in 1975. He will be lovingly remembered for his handy carpentry work, chess and poker playing skills, contagious, recognizable laughter, and fun free-spirit.
Rafael is survived by his mother, Felisa Paviera, siblings, Mila Javellana, Cecilia Paviera, Tony Paviera, and Bing Javellana, and by all of his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends at the family-owned and operated MCCULLY-POLYNIAK FUNERAL HOME, P.A, 3204 Mountain Rd., (Pasadena) on Wednesday from 3-5 & 6:30-8:30 PM and Thursday from 8:30-9:30 AM where the procession will begin for a Mass of Christian Burial in
St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church at 10 AM. Cremation following Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Paeng's memory to St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 689 Gov. Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, Md. 21122.
