Pasadena

Ronald Francis Kane, Sr., age 83, passed away on October 28, 2021 with family by his side. He is once again with his beloved wife Vera who he has missed dearly since her passing in 2018. He will be missed by his daughter Kelly Krinetz and her husband Oren; his son Ron and his wife Kathy; his brother-in-law Wilbur (Sonny) Belt and his wife Brenda and their children and grandchildren; his sister-in-law Mary Dovel; his brother-in-law Irv Peusch; and the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren of his siblings who preceded him in death,  Herbert "Lee" Kane, Joan Batzer and Dee Dee Peusch. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Ronny, Mikayla (Miki), Skyler and Jesse, whom he adored and loved to brag about, to carry on his spirit (and his orneriness) and to continue to make him proud. Affectionately known as "Mr. Ron" by many in the 'dena, he will be remembered for his love and support by his Rink Family as well as the many "kids" that he coached and mentored throughout his life.

Ron lived a life of service as a Korean War Veteran, a Baltimore City Fire Fighter and an Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter (Lake Shore). He married the love of his life on November 4, 1960 at the Magothy Chelsea Community Church and settled in Lake Shore to raise their family and become active members of the community.  Throughout the years he could be found volunteering at his children's Schools, very vocally coaching and cheering for his own children and many others in the area, and supporting whatever activity his children and grandchildren were involved in.

His most important role however was that of Pop to his grandchildren. He was always there to cheer them on and provide his advice and support when they needed it most. The values, traditions, memories that he instilled  will stay in their hearts always.

Family and friends will gather from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday November 4, 2021, Ron and Vera's 61st wedding anniversary, at the family owned and operated McCully-Polyniak Funeral Home, P.A. 3204 Mountain Road Pasadena, Maryland 21122 to celebrate his life and share our memories. Flowers are welcomed or, if you are so inclined, a donation to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center 214 Stable Road Jekyll Island, Georgia 31527 or any charity of your choice in his honor.
